Baliangao School of Fisheries formally kicked off this year’s Brigada Eskwela, a nationwide initiative aimed at preparing schools for the upcoming academic year.

Gov. Henry Oaminal emphasized the critical role of education in the Asenso Misamis Occidental administration, saying, "Education is one of the cornerstones of our Asenso Misamis Occidental vision nga ang Misamisnon Magpuyong Malinawon, Malambuon, ug Malipayon."

“It is through quality education that we empower our youth to dream big, aim high, and achieve greatness,’’ he added.

Oaminal highlighted that providing quality education is a collective effort, underscoring the true essence of Brigada Eskwela. The initiative encouraged community members, parents, teachers, and students to work together to prepare and improve school facilities.

The event marked the beginning of a week-long series of activities where volunteers will clean, repair, and repaint classrooms, as well as donate school supplies and equipment.

The kickoff at the Baliangao School of Fisheries, initiated by the DepEd Misamis Occidental Division and led by Schools Division Superintendent Reynaldo Manuel, sets a positive tone for the entire province, fostering a sense of unity and shared responsibility towards education. (PGMO)
