Sustainable polyculture production soon in Sinacaban

Department of Science and Technology (DOST) represented by Provincial S&T Director Eufresnie Ann D. Simbajon served as witness to the signing of Memorandum of Agreement between the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines - Panaon, LGU Sinacaban, Deputy Fish Warden of Sinacaban, and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources - Mis. Occ. for the implementation of the CEST Project on sustainable polyculture. 

Through this partnership, the sustainable production of danggit and bangus will be introduced in the municipality through the expertise of marine biologists from USTP-Panaon utilizing DOST PCAARRD Automatic Feeding Technology.

This polyculture project aims to augment the income of DFWs in Sinacaban and promote sustainable aquatic livelihood. This is also one of DOST's initiatives to promote food security.  (DOST Misamis Occidental)
