MisOcc observes Girl-Child Week celeb

The provincial government initiated several activities to help young Asenso Misamis Occidental Refuge (AMOR) residents forget unwanted memories brought about by stress and their traumatic experiences this month in observance of the Girl-Child Week celebration.

Children were introduced to baking activities through collaboration with the TESDA Provincial Office and led by the esteemed Dr. Noralaine R. Rasul, TESDA Provincial Director.

This initiative aims to provide children with valuable skills and knowledge that they can use as potential income-generating opportunities once they graduate from the AMOR shelter.

Such activities also serve as therapeutic exercises and educational journeys after the children's traumatic experiences.

This enriches their lives with newfound skills and experiences that will stay with them for years to come, the provincial government said.

It added that the initiative is a testament to Governor Henry S. Oaminal's unwavering commitment to the future of these children, pursuant to his 5Ms agenda that prioritizes programs, projects, and activities under the Malinawon component, ensuring that all "Misamisnon Magpuyong Malinawon Malamboon og Malipayon.
