The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-10 turned over a total of P2 million worth of Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged Workers Program (TUPAD) wages of the 500 informal sector beneficiaries to Municipal Mayor Gadwin Handumon.

Meanwhile, another P250,000 worth of poultry chicken raising project to Accredited Co-Partner PAGLAUM Community Development Foundation Inc. was turned over on January 16 in Plaridel Misamis Occidental.

DOLE-10 Misamis Occidental Provincial Field Office Chief Ebba Borbon-Acosta said TUPAD beneficiaries received P405 per day in wages for the 10-day community work/emergency employment.

It contributes to poverty reduction and reduces the vulnerability of the working poor, vulnerable, and marginalized workers to risks through emergency employment.

Meanwhile, the livelihood grant under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program’s recipient is the Panalsalan Coastal Livelihood Association, which promotes entrepreneurship and community enterprises. (DOLE MisOcc)
