Misamis Occidental pioneers swine multiplier and techno demo farm project

To revolutionize the agricultural landscape of Misamis Occidental, the provincial government, under the leadership of Governor Atty. Henry Sevilla Oaminal, marked the groundbreaking ceremony of the Swine Multiplier and Techno Demo Farm Project.


The initiative, supported by the Agricultural Training Institute - Regional Training Center 10 (ATI-RTC 10) of the Department of Agriculture, aims to bolster the swine industry and promote advanced farming techniques.


The ceremony, held at Barangay Sebasi in the Municipality of Clarin, witnessed the presence of distinguished personalities, including Maria Lydia Echavez, the Regional Center Director of ATI-RTC 10.


On behalf of Governor Atty. Henry Sevilla Oaminal, Maam Mercy Uy the OIC – Provincial Agricultures Office expressed her gratitude to the funding agency for their support in realizing this groundbreaking venture that is set to elevate the province's agricultural sector. The Techno Demo Farm, which received a generous funding of 10 million pesos from ATI-RTC 10, is poised to be a game-changer for Clarin.


Mayor Jojo Roa expressed his appreciation for the provincial leadership to Governor Atty. Henry Sevilla Oaminal, 2nd District Representative Congressman Ando Oaminal and ATI RTC 10, emphasizing that the municipality is honored to be the recipient of such a significant project.



He stated, "This initiative will not only boost our local economy but also enhance the agricultural practices in our community." The project, heralded as the first of its kind in the province and the entire region, focuses on establishing a sow swine multiplier.


The farm is designed to showcase cutting-edge technologies and best practices in swine farming, setting a benchmark for others to follow. Maam Mercy Uy, the Officer-in-Charge of the Provincial Agriculture Office, Vice Mayor Ging Oaminal Delos Santos, and members of the Sangguniang Bayan graced the occasion. Also present were Barangay Sebasi officials and residents, signifying the widespread support for the transformative project.


The ceremonial groundbreaking was a symbolic moment, marking the commencement of a venture that holds the potential to propel Misamis Occidental into a new era of agricultural prosperity.


As the construction begins, anticipation runs high for the positive impact this pioneering Swine Multiplier and Techno Demo Farm Project will bring to the province, setting a precedent for sustainable and innovative farming practices.
