The provincial leadership will continue to pursue programs for sustained economic growth and support programs aimed at restoring honor in public service through integrity, transparency, and hard work.

In his year-end assessment report message, Governor Henry S. Oaminal scored on the accomplishments achieved the past year that were in line with the province's 5Ms development goal of Asenso Misamis Occidental: Misamisnon Magpuyong Malinawon, Malambuon ug Malipayon (Misamisnon Live Peaceful, Prosperous, and Happy).

In agriculture development, he said the province yielded a significant increase in rice production of 5.6 to 6 metric tons in 2023 from 4.6 to 4.9 metric tons in 2021.

To intensify education programs in the province, Gov. Oaminal implemented the One Family, One Professional program for the school year 2023–2024, wherein 3200 grantees benefited from vocational or tertiary education with the provision of a P5,000 monthly stipend throughout the school year semester.

On the tourism program, Governor Henry Oaminal also shared the major tourist destination facilities in the province, which are Asenso Global Gardens, the ongoing development plan of Asenso Misamis Occidental Resort and Aquamarine Park (AMORAP), and other tourist destinations in the different municipalities, which are being implemented in coordination with the concerned local government units.

On the health and services program, Governor Oaminal continues to improve the provincial government’s delivery of quality healthcare and basic public services to all Misamisnons.

“We are in full swing in this program because these are the necessary programs to expedite the attainment of our 5Ms development thrust. After all, that is the basic requirement for us to be living in prosperity,” he emphasized.

In terms of peace and order, "the goal of the administration is to be a drug-free, crime-free, and insurgency-free Misamis Occidental," he said.

To win the hearts of the guerilla members and go back to mainstream society and live a peaceful and progressive life, the provincial government is offering cash rewards to rebel surrenderees like the two high-ranking members of the CPP-NPA who acceded to this call, extending a total of P500,000 each for the high-ranking CPP-NPA and P300,000 each for the rank-and-file members.

As part of the maintenance of peace and order and to provide the barangay with vehicles that they can use for mobilization, especially during emergency and peacekeeping activities, Governor Henry Oaminal shared that the provincial government has already distributed 200 rescue and patrol vehicles to different barangays in the province.

“Kining tanan atong na paningkamotan og execute with our same resources’ local resources as before, ato lang giayo pag-utilize, and as a matter-of-fact, mas niubos pa ang national tax allocation fund sa probinsya based on the three-year annual revenue sa national government, but ato kining nahimo pinaagi sa atong pagtambayongay, ug inspiration [All this we executed with the same resources' local resources as before; we just improved utilization. As a matter of fact, the national tax allocation fund in the province is based on the three years' annual revenue of the national government, but we did it through our collaboration and inspiration],” the governor added.
