MisOcc SKs elect set of Panlalawigang Pederasyon Officers

The Province of Misamis Occidental officially proclaimed the newly elected officers of the Panlalawigang Pederasyon ng mga Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) following an election held at the Asenso Misamis Occidental Sports and Cultural Center in Oroquieta City, November 29.

Before the start of the election proper, Local Government Operations Officer Richard Jasper Guillen presented the pertinent election policies and highlighted some important reminders. Meanwhile, Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Provincial Director Pablio L. Benitez, Jr., delivered a brief orientation on the roles and responsibilities of the election committee.

Following the election of Panlalawigang Pederasyon officers, all 17 SK Pederasyon presidents from the province's cities and municipalities participated in an orientation session. The election committee, elected from among the participating SKs, managed the entire election proceedings with guidance from the BES.

Additionally, a panel of observers, consisting of representatives from the Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office, academia, and a faith-based civil society organization, acted as additional oversight of the entire process.

The results of the election are as follows: President: Clara Mie V. Villanueva, Vice-President: Kenneth Jhester P. Haim, Secretary: Christian P. Limbaga, Treasurer: Almie M. Omandam, Auditor: Cyrus Jack D. Dungog, Public Relations Officer (PRO): John Fel D. Duhaylungsod, Sergeant-at-Arms: James Anthony N. Sy, Following the proclamation of the winners, Acting Governor Rowena L. Gutierrez administered their respective oaths of office.

Gutierrez highlighted the importance of unwavering commitment to official duties, encouraging the winners to face any challenges with resilience.

Concluding the ceremony, Benitez expressed appreciation to all individuals and offices involved in ensuring a peaceful and orderly conduct of the activity.

DILG spearheaded the electoral process, with Benitez serving as the Chair of the Board of Election Supervisors. The Commission on Elections Provincial Election Supervisor, Lawyer Milber G.
