MisOcc LGU starts distribution of 'Pamaskong Handog' in Oroquieta

The provincial government of Misamis Occidental has started the distribution of the ‘Pamaskong Handog 2022’ cash and gift bags to its Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), Barangay Officials and residents in Oroquieta City.

About 18,000 Oroquietanon families in barangays Dullan Norte, Dulpan Sur, Layawan, Lamac Lower, Langcagan Proper, Loboc Lower, Poblacion I, Poblacion II, Taboc Norte, Tipan, and Tuyabong Bajo, Oroquieta City received their cash and gift bags on the first day of distribution held at Bay Front, Arena, Oroquieta.

Governor Henry S. Oaminal together with Mayor Lemuel Meyrick Acosta and Board members kicked off the launching of Pamaskong Handog 2022.

“Ato kining ipadayon ang atong hingpit nga panagtinabangay, ang atong hingpit nga panaghigugmaa’y. Ang inyong pagsuporta sa atong local leadership ug nganhi kanato. Ang atong tinguha ang 5Ms nga ang mga Misamisnon Magpuyong Malinawon, Malambuon ug Malipayon,” Governor Henry Oaminal said.

Oaminal also reported the accomplishments of team Asenso administration and announced future projects in Oroquieta City.

In his message, Mayor Lemuel Meyrick Acosta emphasized the true meaning of Christmas.

“Mga kaigsuonan ko, niabot napod ang panahon, ang panahon nga angay magpaambit sa grasya sa isig-usa.Vision ug damgo sa atong leader sa probinsya nga matag tuig makapaambit ug pinaskuhan sa atoang mga tagsa-tagsa ka pamilya dili lang dinhi sa dakbayan sa Oroquieta kundili sa katibuk-an Misamis Occidental," Acosta said.

The gift bags contain canned goods, 2 kilos of rice, as well as spaghetti sauce and pasta, dressed chicken and cheese.

The “Pamaskong Handog 2022” is a yearly tradition of team Asenso Misamis Occidental headed by Governor Henry S. Oaminal to give thanks to Misamisnons for their hardwork in the province.(SMRN/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)
