DPWH MisOcc completes FMR in brgy Bato, Plaridel


Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Misamis Occidental completes Farm-to-Market Road (FMR) project in Barangay Bato, Plaridel Misamis Occidental funded under FY 2021 Bayanihan II or the Bayanihan to Recover as One Act with a contract cost amounting to Php 6.6 Million.

The FMR project in Barangay Bato was created to prioritize infrastructure interventions that have a substantial impact on enhancing crop production and lowering farm losses.

This project focuses on small farmers' investment, cost-effective commodity production, conservation, and distribution.

The project is seen to increase agricultural logistics and production and improve connections to local and export markets. Farmers benefit from the FMR not just in terms of profit, but also in terms of access to fundamental amenities like health care, education, and security.
