DILG, PPO, stakeholders launch revitalized KASIMBAYANAN in MisOcc


The Misamis Occidental Provincial Police Office and Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and stakeholders launches its revitalized “KASIMBAYANAN” at the PHQ Grandstand in Camp Major Lucas Naranjo, Lower Lamac, Oroquieta City.(DILG Misamis Occidental/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)


The Misamis Occidental Provincial Police Office (PPO) with the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) launched its revitalized Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan (KASIMBAYANAN) at the PHQ Grandstand in Camp Major Lucas Naranjo, Lower Lamac, Oroquieta City.

During the event, guest of honor and speaker, DILG Misamis Occidental Provincial Director Pablio L. Benitez, Jr. shared that KASIMBAYANAN will significantly contribute to realize the vision of the province which is anchored on the 5Ms: Misamisnon Magpuyong Malinawon Malambuon ug Malipayon under the leadership of Atty. Henry S. Oaminal.

PD Benitez emphasized that various institutions must collaborate and support one another given the differences in capacities and the scope of the individual duties and responsibilities.

“Teamwork, indeed, is the name of the game because a group of people with common goals will eventually succeed on a larger scale.With this, know that the DILG will always be by your side and that we shall commit to work as a team to bring peace and development to this province," he said.

Ceremonial Signing & Recital of the Pledge of Commitment and Support, Presentation of KASIMBAYANAN AVP, and Ceremonial Pinning of KASIMBAYANAN PNP buttons were conducted as the highlights of the ceremony.

Moreover, messages of support were given by the representatives of the faith-based organization and other stakeholders including MSGR. Manual V. Marasigan of IFI Church, Hon. Alfredo Y. Bolleno, Jr. ABC President Oroquieta City, Engr. Angelito Jumao-as OZORDITRANSCO (ASG and FM), Ms. Ellah Joy N. Cloma KKDAT Provincial Secretary, and others.

Kasimbayanan, which stands for Kapulisan, Simbahan at Pamayanan, is a synergized partnership with the general public and religious sectors to promote camaraderie towards a progressive and peaceful community.

The revitalized PNP KASIMBAYANAN, as a community mobilization program, demonstrates the acknowledged need to carry on with the institutionalization of synergy and cross-sector engagement of all actors in governance--the government, private, and civil society--to achieve peace and development.(DILG Misamis Occidental/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)
