The Provincial Government of Misamis Occidental led by Governor Henry Oaminal launches a scholarship program to benefit Misamisnons, dubbed, "One professional per family” which begins July 29.

ABC Vice President John Docdor shared the good news to the barangay captain in Ozamiz City during the regular monthly meeting of Liga ng Barangay, July 28 at the Function Hall, Barangay Kinuman Norte.

He revealed that based on the instructions received from Mayor Henry “Indy” Oaminal Jr., the Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) in all 51 barangays in Ozamiz will start going from house to house and list every household with children who are Senior High School or College students who want to avail in the program.

According to councilor Docdor, parents can only register the name of one of their senior high school or college students who want to finish their course.

In the governor's "One Professional per Family" program, the government will cover the student's tuition fee, transportation allowance and board and lodging until they complete school.

They will also help the graduating student to find a job.

For those interested in participating in this program, they are encouraged to meet with their barangay official for more information. (SMRN/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)
