DepEd Ozamiz kicks off Brigada Eskwela 2022

The Department of Education (DepEd)-Ozamiz Division kicked-off the National Brigada Eskwela 2022 to promote collaboration and resiliency in basic education.

With the theme Tugon sa Hamon ng Ligtas na Balik-Aral, Brigada Eskwela highlights the collective efforts from various partnership engagements, creating a safe learning environment for the learners, teaching and non-teaching personnel, and community to achieve safety while ensuring the delivery of quality education.

Each school under the Division of Ozamiz City participated through a motorcade.

Ozamiz City Central School Principal Eugene Bucog said that the motorcade aims to inform the people especially the parents that Brigada Eskwela has started and he asked partner stakeholders and parents to support this activity.

He added that the summer reading camp for Ozamiz City Central School students which started last July 25 will also continue and will end on August 12, 2022.

In her post, DepEd Ozamiz City Schools Division Superintendent Jean G. Veloso thanked the internal and external stakeholders of the 58 schools for taking part in the meaningful opening of this year’s Brigada Eskwela.

“Para sa bata, para sa guro, para sa bayan,” Veloso said.

She also said that school heads are taking the lead in implementing the Oplan Balik Eskwela (OBE) and Brigada Eskwela (BE) to ensure a safe return to school among the learners, the Ozamiz Diamonds.

“To all parents, partners and stakeholders, come and visit your respective schools and take part in our noble endeavor of ensuring a safe learning continuity among our dear children,” the superintendent added.

The Brigada Eskwela involves cleaning, repainting, and doing necessary repairs in public schools to prepare them ahead of the reopening of classes.
