Tangub mayor-elect vows to work for the poor

TANGUB CITY, Misamis Occidental (PIA)—Mayor elect in Tangub City Ben Canama plans to work especially for the poor.

“Ang atong plataporma magsandig gyud sa pagmahal, pagserbisyo ug pag-atiman labi na sa mga kabus,” Mayor elect Ben Canama said.

He will be ready to help as long as this is for the best of the city.

During a recent press conference, Canama assured that he will not separate himself from doing public service and will work based on his capacity to make the city even better.

He also thanked his supporters for putting up a good campaign this election and for supporting his call for better governance.

“Sa tanan, among kinasingkasing na pasalamat ug ipadayon nato ang atong nasugdan nga panagkahiusa, pag-ampo nga maabot gyud unta ang gipangando’y sa dakbayan sa Tangub nga ang atoang lugar mahimo nang malambuonug gawasnon,” he added.

As to the priority programs, Canama shared that the Asenso Tangub will form a committee in order to provide, study and to recommend what comes first.

These include better Infrastructure, education, youth and senior citizens, legal assistance, transportation, religious sector, business sector, health, agriculture and environment, housing, urban poor and other sector.

Canama won with 22, 034 votes, while his opponent, Edimar Alota got only 13,267 votes based on the city board of canvassers’ final count. (SMRN/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)
