The provincial government, together with city officials, led the ceremonial ribbon-cutting and blessing of the newly constructed People’s Market and Asenso Mall located along the national highway in Barangays 2 and 3 in Tangub City.

As presented, the Asenso Mall has two buildings, namely Malinawon and Malambuon, which have 23 and 21 stalls, respectively.

On the other hand, the People’s Market was built with separate dry and wet sections to make finding items easier and ensure better sanitation.

The same infrastructure also features stalls where the public can shop for various products such as fish, seafood, meat, vegetables, and fruits, among others.

Such projects were, accordingly, erected on the old grounds, which were transformed into a modern facility to support their infrastructure needs and their aim for economic development.

Following this event, Governor Henry S. Oaminal lauded the hard work of the city officials, which paved the way for the realization of the project intended to welcome more economic activity and progress.

He stated that this is one of the remarkable accomplishments attained by the administration of Asenso Tangub for the past year and a month.

The governor added that such a day is valuable or historical in the part of the city of Tangub because, within 13 months, the vital infrastructure projects, which are Asenso Mall 1 (Malinawon), Asenso Mall 2 (Malambuon), and People's Market, have been inaugurated.

"Kining maong tulo ka vital infrastructure project nabuhat ninyo sulod sa usa ka tuig ug usa ka bulan coming from your own local resources [You have done these three vital infrastructure projects within one year and one month coming from your own local resources]," he said.

Happy with the wonderful outcome, the governor further assured that his administration would remain determined to implement programs and projects that would uplift the lives of the people in the province.

Meanwhile, Mayor Sabinino "Ben" Canama thanked the provincial governor for helping in the fulfillment of their latest project and continuously supporting the endeavors of their city.

To make the moment more memorable, Oaminal, through the Department of Labor and Employment, gave P6,000 cash assistance to all vendors of the People’s Market for their additional capital. (PGMO)
