PRO-10 conducts community outreach in Jimenez, MisOcc

The Police Regional Office 10 together with the Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office in partnership with the provincial government gives aid and free services to community folks of brgy Carmen, Jimenez town. (MisOcc PPO)


The Police Regional Office (PRO-10) together with the Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office through the support of the provincial government and its stakeholders here recently initiated a Community Outreach Program to provide assistance and free services to villagers in barangay Carmen in Jimenez town.



The said barangay is among the Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAs).



PRO-10 Regional Director PBGEN Lawrence B. Coop, together with MOPPO Provincial Director PCol. Marlon Quimno and Governor of Misamis Occidental Henry S. Oaminal led the PNP Community Outreach Program and Ceremonial Turn-over of Quick Impact Projects which includes one Chest Freezer, two units of Solar Charging station and Panel, one unit of wet and one dry food grinding machine, and two units of Sewing Machine to the residents of Barangay Carmen on May 18, 2023 at Carmen Integrated School, Brgy Carmen, Jimenez, Misamis Occidental.



Coop called for unity within the government and community to achieve peace and development in the province.



“Kung tayo ay nag-kakaisa, maganda yung daloy ng programa ng gobyerno, programa ng LGU, at maganda yung programa ng PRO-10 gaya ng binanggit ni Mayor Chiong at syaka si Governor ay nakita nga nila yung pangagailangan nila ng Carmen. Yan din po ang isang layunin ng (Retooled Community Support Program) RCSP na makita yung mga kailangan at i-approach sa appropriate agency. Ang magandang pagsasama ay sigurado tayong ang direction natin patungo sa kaunlaran,” he shared.



(If we are united, the flow of government programs will be good. As mentioned by Mayor Chiong and the Governor, they saw their need for Carmen. That is also one of the goals of the (Retooled Community Support Program) RCSP to see those who are needed and approach the appropriate agency. We are sure that a good partnership is our direction towards development)



Meanwhile, Gov Oaminal vows to help the residents of Jimenez town to give all the support they needed.



“Ako gipasalig kauban si Cong. Jason Almonte ug sa atong Bise Gobernador Rowena Gutierrez, Board members ug sa atong Mayor hangtud sa atong mga konsehales nga kini inyong mga gusto diri ato ng nahatagan ang karsada ug kung unsa pa man gani nga wla ninyo masulti ato ng tagaan ug pagtagad niining adlawa sa akong administrasyon. Ang dire sa Carmen gamay nalang ang wala ma seminto gkan sa boundery so kana kay gamay man ato nang tiwason gyud pagsemento sa dili pa matapos ang third quarter karong Oktobre," he shared.



About 400 individuals of Barangay Carmen availed of its sim card registration, National ID, Alis Kuto Campaign, medical and dental check-up, libreng gupit, tuli, blood sugar testing, giving of vitamins, ear piercing, free eye check up, mobile library, and TESDA livelihood training.



The PNP also distributed food packs, slippers, pre-loved clothes, fish distribution, distribution of seedlings, loot bags for children during the outreach activity.



The initiative is in partnership with the military, national government agencies, stakeholders, local government of Jimenez and the provincial government of Misamis Occidental which showed strong support including the private sector to the implementation of plans, programs and activities of the PNP for the benefit of peace and progress in various communities.(SMRN/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)
