DOH 10 turns over new ambulances in MisOcc

A total of five ambulances were distributed to the LGU of Don Victoriano, Bonifacio, Clarin, Tudela and Sinacaban in Misamis Occidental province which will boost the local government units' (LGUs) response to emergency cases. (Asenso MisOcc)


The Department of Health (DOH) 10 has turned-over five ambulances to the province of Misamis Occidental held at the Capitol Grounds, Oroqueita City.


The ambulances were given to the municipalities of Don Victoriano, Bonifacio, Clarin, Tudela and Sinacaban.


Dir. Jose R. Llacuna Jr. emphasized the importance of having an ambulance to provide faster health services to the people especially during emergencies.


“I cannot overemphasize the importance of ambulances. While promoting public health, we are also much concerned with curative and rehabilitative aspects. And our patients deserve more service from us, especially in transferring from one facility to the other," Llacuna said.


"For better services, ato gyud na i-accept na dili pareho tanan hospitals (we must accept that not all hospitals are the same), there are hospitals which provide more and better services tungod kay equipped sila. Therefore, the need for the patients to be referred to them and this is made possible safely by a good ambulance,” Llacuna added.


Governor Henry S. Oaminal assured that the rest of the LGUs shall also be given ambulances by the provincial government.


Oaminal also hoped that these ambulances would be taken care of.

Meanwhile, Sinacaban Mayor Dello Lood thanked the Department Health and the provincial government of Misamis Occidental for the brand new ambulance in order to reach and help more patients in need of emergency health aid.



“Makapasiguro ta sa atong pasyente na panahon sa panginahanglan o emergency duna kita’y ambulance nga mapadala dayon sa tambalanan,”mayor Lood said.



(We can assure our patients that in times of need or emergency we have an ambulance that can be sent to the hospital immediately)
