Department of Tourism 10 joins Laag-Laag in MisOcc
The Department of Tourism Region (DOT)-10 in collaboration with Tourism Promotional Board (TPB) joined the Laag-Laag sa Mis Occ tour with national tour operators, vloggers, and media influencers.
This activity is a warm welcome for all the guests and a promising comeback for Misamis Occidental’s tourism industry after being interrupted by the pandemic.
DOT 10 Regional Director Marie Elaine S. Unchuan cited that it will surely build opportunities for sustainable tourism and will promote the province as a home of peace loving and hospitable Misamisnons.
Top tourist destinations of the province are the highlights of the tour such as the relaxing Hoyohoy Highland Stone Chapel, Belvedere View Deck, a tour on the ongoing construction of the 3.169-km Panguil Bay bridge, which will be Mindanao’s longest bridge, and a glance of the province’s history by entering the Cotta fort or El Fuerte de la Concepcion y Del Triunfo” in Spanish.
Suman House of Clarin was also a highlight where guests witnessed the demonstration on how to create a variety of Suman/Rice Cakes, the Municipality of Clarin is known as the Suman Capital of Mis Occ.
Mansawan Strawberry Farm and Piduaan Curtain Falls surprisingly attracted the guests as it features scenic views and priceless experience.
A tour of St. John the Baptist Church, one of the oldest churches in the Philippines and the Century-old Spanish Catholic Church which is nestled within the predominantly Catholic town of Jimenez.
The limitless fun is not yet over as the Laag-Laag sa Mis Occ will run from November 9 – 13, 2022, a 4-day activity of the Provincial Tourism.
With the support of the Local Government of Misamis Occidental led by Gov. Henry S. Oaminal, the guests will tour around key tourist spots in the province as well as witness the Perangat Festival 2022.(DOT-10)
