SSS celebrates 65th anniversary in MisOcc

The Social Security System (SSS) pays tribute to the different members and stakeholders in the province of Misamis Occidental as part of their 65th anniversary celebration.(SMRN/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)

In line with its 65th anniversary celebration, the Social Security System (SSS) conducted the SSS Member’s Day with the theme,”Ano ang kwentong SSS Mo? held at Costa del Sol, Oroquieta City.

SSS lined-up different activities to make the celebration uniquely significant such as product sampling from Diabetasol and Entrasol Platinum, set-up SSS Information Kiosks to address member queries, heath and wellness fora given by the health experts, hygiene kits from Philusa Corporation, on-site covid-19 vaccination, and games via trivia questions and raffles to add fanfare to the celebration of SSS.

They also installed booth for local products from Panza Farm, Nene’s Suman Tinambiran, and Hanilies Cakeshoppe.

During the Member’s Day celebration of SSS, Oroquieta City Branch Head Simon Jude Q. Obut said that this grand activity is simultaneously done in different areas across the Philippine archipelago.

“This activity shall foster a meaningful celebration to remind our members of the mission, core values and achievements of the SSS. This activity will likewise promote the organizations strategic thrusts and initiatives throughout the 65 years of service,” he said.

SSS Senior Vice President for Mindanao Operations Group Edwin M. Alo shared the significant milestone of SSS, providing social security protection to its partners and members.

“Ang 65th Anniversary sa SSS kung imong lantawon sa lifespan sa usa ka tao retirerable na pero ang SSS gapadayon karon nga usa ka malig-on nga institution nga naghatag gihapon kanato ug social security protection para sa tanan sa ilahang pagkatigulang, pagkamatay ba kaha sa ilang bread winner, pagkasakit, pagpanganak ug pagka disabled ug aduna kita’y additional benefits nga mahatag kining gitawag nato nga unemployment benefits,” he emphasized.

(The 65th Anniversary of the SSS if you look at a person's lifespan is retireable but the SSS will continue to be a strong institution that still provides us with social security protection for everyone in their old age, whether it is the death of their bread winner, getting sick, giving birth and being disabled and we have additional benefits that we can give, the unemployment benefits)
