LGU Tangub holds Asenso Job Fair 2022


The City Government of Tangub through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO) and in coordination with DOLE Misamis Occidental and Tangub Business Club conducts Asenso Job Fair on September 24 at Sinanduloy, Cultural Center as part of the fiesta celebration of Tangub.(SMRN/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)




TANGUB CITY, Misamis Occidental (PIA)—As part of the fiesta celebration in the city, the local government of Tangub through its Public Employment Service Office (PESO) holds the Asenso Job Fair 2022 with the theme,“ Trabaho, Negosyo at Kabuhayan” in Sinanduloy, Cultural Center, Tangub City on September 27.


Mayor Ben Canama said the job fair is in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE)-Misamis Occidental and Tangub Business Club.


Canama also said that the job fair aimed to help Tangubanons and jobseekers, especially those unemployed, to land employment opportunities suited for them.


“Akong gi-encourage ang mga applicant nga atong i-grab ang opportunity kung unsa among matabang aron madali gyud sila nga madawat. Nindot kaayo ka’y naa man diay daghan nga mga bakante, available nga trabaho.Pinaagi niini mahibaw-an sa mga katawhan ug salamat sa Department of Labor and Employment sa ilang pagtabang niini,” he said.


(I am encouraging all the applicants to grab the opportunity and we will do our best to help them employed. It is good to have plenty of available jobs for the people. Through this job fair, people will know about this opportunity and we should be thankful for the Department of Labor and Employment for their efforts)


In an interview, Marvin Andujar, 27 years old from Baybay Bonifacio, MisOcc conveyed gratitude to LGU Tangub for the opportunity given to them.


“Daghan kaayong salamat nga inyo ning gihimo nga one time opportunity dinhi sa Tangub nga naga-awhag sa mga katawhan nga mangita ug trabaho para sa ilang kaugmaon,” he shared.

A total of 24 local employers, overseas and agencies participated in the job fair and offered more than 1, 000 vacancies.


The job fair registered 520 applicants where 25 qualified and deserving job applicants were hired on-the-spot.


The Job Fair also provided a one-stop-shop for participating government agencies such as Social Security System (SSS), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), PhilHealth, and PAG-IBIG. (SMRN/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)
