Oaminal wins landslide in MisOcc province
It is a landslide win for the Oaminals in Misamis Occidental, sweeping off the mayoral, gubernatorial post, as well as the congressional.
The Provincial Board of Canvassers in Misamis Occidental proclaimed Second District Representative Henry S. Oaminal the winner in the province’s gubernatorial race and Ozamiz City Mayor Sancho Fernando Oaminal as Second District Representative on Tuesday evening, May 10.
Henry Oaminal garnered 242,083 votes against his opponent Philip Tan got 96,024 and Bibiano Salvanera’s 1,577 votes.
Oaminal’s son, Rep. elect Sancho Fernando Oaminal, had 143,250 votes over Tangub Mayor Jenny Tan’s 44,077 and Rondy Conol’s 879 votes.
Oaminal thanked the Misamisnons for the overwhelming support for the National and Local Election 2022.
“To all our supporters, the Misamisnons, salamat sa inyong hingpit ug makanunayon nga supporta ug pagmahal kini among suklian ug pagpadayon sa mga minatinud-anon nga pagpangalagad,” Henry Oaminal said.

Oaminal also shared that on the first three to six months he plans to improve the services of the hospital owned by provincial hospital, the Misamis Occidental Provincial Hospital (MOPH) in Oroquieta City. For three months, he said the hospital will be able to serve people who are on medication and to give services to the medical staff and most of all implement free hospitalization.
Meanwhile, Rep. elect Oaminal said, "Ako, uban sa team Asenso Segundo Distrito magpasalamat mi sa tibuok katawhan sa lima ka Municipyo ug duha ka syudad sa atong probinsya sa second district sa Misamis Occidental."

The Vice Governor elect Rowena Gutierrez had 202,431 votes as against the 92,624 votes for Tan’s running mate, Richard “Voting” Centino, Member of the House of Representative, 1st District elect Jason Almonte and Provincial Board Members in 1st and 2nd district also proclaimed by the Provincial Board of Canvassers in Misamis Occidental .(Shaine Mae R.
