NorMin Project Monitoring Committee inspects priority infrastructure projects in Misamis Occidental

The Northern Mindanao Regional Project Monitoring Committee conducted its 1st Quarter 2022 project field visits from 22 to 24 March to monitor and validate the implementation of national and local programs and projects in the province of Misamis Occidental.

The monitoring team visited three farm-to-market road projects located in Panaon, Aloran, and Calamba, Misamis Occidental, funded under the Philippine Rural Development Project (PRDP) of the Department of Agriculture. The PRDP is a national project that started in 2016, jointly funded by the World Bank, the national government, and the participating LGUs.

The team also visited the Panguil Bay Bridge (PBB) Project in Tangub City, Misamis Occidental, one of the major infrastructure projects under the government’s flagship ‘Build, Build, Build’ program. Once completed in December 2023, the PBB will be considered the longest in the Philippines. The 3.7 kilometer-bridge will connect Tangub City with the municipality of Tubod in Lanao del Norte.
