MisOcc gears up for Barangayanihan Caravan on April 25

The Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office partners with the government agencies and stakeholders to reach out and inform the Misamisnons of the accomplishments of the Duterte administration.(SMRN/PIA-10/Misamis Occidental)

To strengthen the spirit of unity among government agencies, private sectors, and non-government organization in bringing the services and extending assistance to the community especially during these trying times, the Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office spearheaded a coordinating meeting with all the government agencies, as well as volunteers from the Global Coalition of Advocacy Support Groups and Force Multipliers for the upcoming Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan, April 25.

About 1,000 Misamisnons will benefit from the Barangayanihan Caravan at the Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office Ground, Lower Lamac, Oroquieta City.

Police Community Affairs and Development Unit (PCADU) Chief PLtCol Melfin Ian Burlat said the PNP will continue its initiatives to bring the basic services to the people.

”Bisag munaog na ang atong Presidente, ato gihapon padayunon kini kay (Even if the president's term will come to an end, we will still continue this activity because) this is one of the many activities that should be undertaken so long ago to end really the insurgency problem in the province of Misamis Occidental."

Burlat appealed to all agencies and stakeholders to bring their services that they can offer this coming Barangayanihan Caravan. He also emphasized that all the services and assistance they provide are open to the less fortunate.

The coordination meeting was attended by Oroquieta Adventist Education Center (OAEC), Foreign National Keepers (FNKN), Department of the Interior and Local Government Unit (DILG), 10th Infantry Battalion,1ST Provincial Mobile Force Company, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), PNP Maritime, Integrated Provincial Health Office (IPHO);

Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), Oroquieta City Police Station, National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP), Department of Agriculture (DA), Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), PhilHealth;

Misamis Occidental Stakeholder Security Alliance (MOSSA), Gawad Kalinga, Land Transportation Office (LTO), 1002nd Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion (RMFB)-10, Joint Industrial Peace Concerns Office (JIPCO), and Brotherhood of Christian Businessman and Professionals Oroquieta Chapter (BCBP).

The caravan aims to inform the public about the government’s programs, policies, accomplishments, and efforts to bring about the real change to the lives of the Filipino people by showcasing real stories from the beneficiaries in their respective localities of the Duterte administration’s landmark policies and programs.
