MisOcc PPO leads outreach program for Women’s Month

In line with this year’s theme, “Agenda ng Kababaihan Tungo sa Kaunlaran,” the Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office spearheaded a convergence community outreach program to celebrate the National Women’s Month.

Held at Barangay Alegria, Lopez Jaena, the activity was enjoined by the Lingkod Bayan Advocacy Support Group and Force Multiplier, Lopez Jaena Municipal Police Station, 1st Misamis Occidental 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company (MOPMFC) and 10th Infantry Battalion.

More than 100 beneficiaries benefited from the basic services offered during the one-day event, such as: distribution of hygiene kits, pre-loved clothes, blanket, laundry set and mosquito nets; feeding for both children and the adult beneficiaries, free services of haircut, manicure, pedicure and make over; free photo shoot for A4 size picture or 2x2 ID, and mobile Library program of the 1st PMFC.

In his message, Misamis Occidental Police Provincial Office (MOPPO) Acting Provincial Director P/Col Anthony V. Placido expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the women who symbolizes unique virtue and inner strength where they all deserve to be loved.

“Let us continue to become instrument of kindness by becoming a Good Samaritan to help people who are in need and become catalyst in bringing and healing as one so that peace and development will continue to reign in the barangay and to the beautiful province of Misamis Occidental,” Placido said.

The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Misamis Occidental also conducted a livelihood training program where beneficiaries were taught on the “bucayo” making introduced by Ms. Darling Sabijon, a trained food maker of Oroquieta City.

The activity was made possible with the mobilization of the Lingkod Bayan Advocacy Support Group and Force Multiplier namely; Ozamiz Confession, Misamis Occidental Stakeholders and Security Alliance (MOSSA), Alpha Kappa Rho, Alpha Phi Omega Ozamiz Chapter, Lady Riders with the support from the International Pharmaceutical Incorporation, Fr. Tony Enerio, Ms. Lyna for avon products and special prizes and also Princess Kho of Ben’s Wedding and Events Wardrobe for the photo shoot and government agency partner from TESDA, Misamis Occidental.
