143rd Malasakit Center opens in Tangub City

To cater to more sick Filipinos in need of financial assistance, Senator Christopher Lawrence "Bong" Go personally attended the launching of the country's 143rd Malasakit Center at Doña Maria D. Tan Memorial Hospital in Tangub City, October 12.
This is part of his many efforts to improve health services and reduce health disparities in the country.
Go conveyed his gratitude to the hospital staff and other medical frontliners for their dedicated service to their community despite threats posed by the pandemic.
“Gikan sa amo ni Presidente Duterte ug sa atong kaigsuonang Filipino sa tanang frontliners aning hospitala daghang salamat sa inyong sakripisyo karong panahona,” Go said.
The center will initially have P10 million fund and another P10 million will be added before the year ends.
“The target of Malasakit Center is zero balance for poor and indigent patients. Please maximize this for our indigent patients so we can help them,” the Senator said.
Meanwhile, Governor Philip Tan lauded the efforts of Senator Christopher “Bong” Go in the province.

“Tungod sa imong tabang ang atong mga kabus makatilaw na ug libreng operasyon sa mga mayuma, libre ang operasyon sa tanang goiter, libre operasyon sa kidney stone, libre ang operasyon sa gal bladder stone ug uban pang operasyon,” Tan said.
Senator “Bong” Go shared further that around 26 million Filipinos are fully vaccinated.
“Naa sa datus karon nga katong mga bakunado kaning sa hospital dili kaayo sila maigo sa pagkagrabe o sa pagkamatay. Ang nangaigo sa COVID katong dili bakunado. Ang importante karon protektado mo kung pinalangga nimo inyong anak ug pamilya pabakuna namo,” Go said.
Also, during the launching of the Malasakit Center, rank and file employees of the Doña Maria D. Tan Memorial Hospital received financial assistance for individuals in crisis situation (AICS) program under DSWD.
Go also provided 15 bicycles, 15 computer tablets and 12 pairs of shoes that were raffled off to hospital employees. Food, grocery packs, vitamins, face masks and face shields were likewise brought for distribution to front-liners. (Shaine Mae R. Nagtalon/PIA Misamis Occidental)
